Sailing Envera Crew

We are passionate sailors, storytellers, and dreamers who turned our love for the sea into a way of life. After crossing the North Atlantic on our sailboat Envera with our 13-year-old Yorkie, Bobby, we realized that sailing is more than a hobby—it’s a gateway to freedom, adventure, and connection with the world.

Through our journey, we discovered that many people dream of sailing, but don’t know where to start. That’s why we’ve created a complete “From Dream to Deck” program, designed to guide you step-by-step:

  • Choosing the right boat for your lifestyle and goals

  • Preparing and equipping your boat for safety and comfort

  • Learning the fundamentals of sailing and seamanship

  • Hands-on sailing experience, from short trips to multi-day voyages

You can join us wherever we are in the world—sail side-by-side with us, explore hidden bays, discover new cultures, and experience the beauty and challenge of life at sea.

Whether you’re a total beginner or already have some experience, we’ll help you turn your sailing dream into a reality.

Captain Peck

Captain Peck is a sailor shaped by experience, not shortcuts. With hands that have rebuilt a boat plank by plank and miles that include a full Atlantic crossing, his approach to sailing is grounded, practical, and deeply respectful of the sea.

Since 2012, the sea has been his home. More than 45,000 nautical miles — across the North Atlantic, the Florida coast, northern Bahamian waters, the U.S. East and West Coasts, and from the Strait of Gibraltar to the Adriatic — have shaped the sailor he is today.

Before crossing the Atlantic, Peck fully rebuilt his own sailboat — learning every system, every weakness, and every strength along the way. Preparation wasn’t optional; it was survival. That experience now defines how he mentors others: with honesty, clarity, and a strong focus on decision-making rather than bravado.

What we offer is something far more valuable: real, lifetime experience shared by sailors who have lived this journey themselves. The knowledge you gain here comes from rebuilding a boat, preparing for ocean passages, making real decisions at sea, and sailing thousands of miles — lessons that can’t be taught in a classroom alone.

Everything you learn through our mentorship is designed to prepare you mentally, practically, and confidently for formal sailing certifications if you choose to pursue them. Many people find that certification becomes clearer, easier, and far less intimidating after gaining this kind of real-world understanding.

If you decide to move forward with official licensing, we can help organize and guide you toward taking the skipper exam and obtaining a Skipper License valid for EU coastal waters, through recognized training and examination partners.

    In short:
These programs don’t sell certificates — they build confidence, judgment, and seamanship, which are priceless foundations for any sailor.
