Our Mentorship & Advisory Services
Behind every sailing dream is a thousand questions — and behind every confident sailor is experience earned the hard way.
Captain Peck and his wife Ella didn’t start with perfect boats, big budgets, or formal paths. They rebuilt their own sailboat with their own hands, prepared her for an Atlantic crossing, and sailed across the ocean — all the way to Montenegro. Storms, repairs, long nights, and quiet victories shaped not just their boat, but their understanding of what truly matters at sea.
Today, they offer online mentorship for those standing at the beginning of a similar journey — from dreaming and buying a boat, through restoration and refit, to learning how to sail with confidence and clarity. These sessions are not theory from a book, but guidance grounded in real decisions, real mistakes, and real miles sailed.
Captain Peck leads the technical and seamanship mentoring, while Ella brings structure, planning, and the lived experience of preparing a boat — and a life — for the open ocean. Together, they guide you step by step, helping you avoid costly mistakes and build confidence before you ever cast off your lines.
If you’re ready to turn a dream into a plan — and a plan into a passage — we’re here to mentor you.
Meet your instructor
Captain Peck is a sailor shaped by experience, not shortcuts. With hands that have rebuilt a boat plank by plank and miles that include a full Atlantic crossing, his approach to sailing is grounded, practical, and deeply respectful of the sea.
Since 2012, the sea has been his home. More than 45,000 nautical miles — across the North Atlantic, the Florida coast, northern Bahamian waters, the U.S. East and West Coasts, and from the Strait of Gibraltar to the Adriatic — have shaped the sailor he is today.
Before crossing the Atlantic, Peck fully rebuilt his own sailboat — learning every system, every weakness, and every strength along the way. Preparation wasn’t optional; it was survival. That experience now defines how he mentors others: with honesty, clarity, and a strong focus on decision-making rather than bravado.
At sea, Peck is calm, methodical, and focused. He believes good sailing is not about speed or ego, but about understanding your boat, reading conditions, and knowing when to act — and when not to. His mentoring style reflects that philosophy: patient, direct, and rooted in real-world experience.
Whether guiding someone through buying their first boat, restoring a project vessel, or building confidence for longer passages, Peck teaches what he has lived. He doesn’t offer theory without context — only lessons tested by wind, weather, and time.
Sailing with Peck means learning from someone who has crossed the ocean the hard way — and is willing to share what truly matters.htfully crafted to elevate what matters most.
